ENJOY CHRISTMAS IN BARCELONA

Last 29th of November Christmas oficially arrived in Barcelona and its streets has come alive and magic , full of lights and Christmas stalls which we can enjoy untill the end of the year.
There are thousands plans to celebrate Christamas that you can’t miss if you visist the Catalan Capital during these days. For that reason we detail you the most interesting ones to enjoy it:

1. VISIT A CHRISTMAS MARKET

Christmas doesn’t exist without visit one of its most famous markets and enjoy the magic enviroment plenty of emotions and hapiness . You can buy the Nativity Scene figures, a pooping log, Christmas tree and its ornaments … One of the most popular Christmas Market is Santa Llúcia Market , being the oldest and emblematic one of the city . You can fin it in Avenida de la Catedral, has more than 285 stalls full of Navity Scenes, trees, crafts, etc.

An other alternative is visit Sagrada Familia Christmas Market. It has a hundred Christmas stalls and spaces with feeding products where you can enjoy of a good hot chocolate with or eat a hot chestnuts .

2. WALK AND ENJOY CHRISTMAS DECORATION

Since November 29th, Barcelona , as every year, has come back to live the streets lighting them up with the typical  GLUP GLUP, DONG DONG , FUN FUN … creating a magical spirit.  Also several Christmas trees has been installed on the busiest and populars streets.  Take a walk for the Barcelona streets and enjoy  Christmas decoration, shop windows , lights… Could be one of the most romantic plans.

After walking and with the winter cold inside your bones it is normal that you appetite wake ups and you want to recharge your batteries and warm you body with a good chocolate with churros in one of the classics  of Barcelona, like la Granja Viader, el Dulcinea o Petrixol.

3. DO SOME CHRISTMAS SHOPPING

Another Christmas plan which is mostly enjoyed is to do Christmas shopping, buy Christmas Eve and Three Kings presents. If you want to stand out and make an orginial present we show you different options and ideas that would take your family’s breath away  :

 -Palo Alto Market: 7th and  8th of December, this market will meet again art, design, music, fashion and beer.

-Mercantic: The classic fournitures and vintage decor market  in Sant Cugat, this December arrives Christmas session, November 30th and December 1st Vintage Fest XMAS Edition is celebrated there.

-All those Food Market : This artesanal foodie Market comes back this 1st of December to become this wonderful place where you can get the most coveted articles to surprise your families these days. Delicious cheese, sausage, sweets, honey, marmalade, vegan products gluten free… Will solve more that one present.

– Mercat de Nadal del Llibre: Celebrated on November 30th and  December 1st in la Antigua Fábrica Estrella Damm. This market is full of books, authors, musicians and foodtrucks.

3.1 LA ROCA DEL VALLÉS

4. SEE THE THREE KINGS PARADE

All children of the city wait anxiously 5th of January at 6pm  to get out into the street and welcome Kings from the East , get candies and enjoy a night full of magic.

The parade starts at 6pm in Avenue Marquès de l’Argentera. The Three Kings and his entourage will pass through Pla de Palau, Via Laietana , Plaza Urquinaona, Fontanella, Plaza Catalunya, Pelai, Plaza Universidad, Ronda Sant Antoni , Paralelo  and Av. Reina Maria Cristina.

5. NEW YEAR’S EVE BELLS

The Avenue Reina Maria Cristina, with Palau Nacional to the background  will take the countdown of  12 bells to welcome 2020 year como as it deserves, with a light, fire , water and music show.

The magic Fountain of Montjuic will offer a big spectacle that innovates with the presence of fire and will play with the water and light to the rythm of the music.

6. CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS IN ANDORRA LA VELLA

This year 2019 , Andorra la Vella streets come alive, full of lights ,spectacles , Christmas carols and music,  big Disney characters figures illuminated , workshops and games for children, Santa Claus visit and countless activities that will made you enjoy a magic Christmas.
